I made this journal using the new Comfort Cafe Designer Paper that's coming out in the new catalog in June. I chose 3 different prints and coordinated it with Cajun Craze, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Soft Suede.
The stamp is from a new set called Layered Labels and die cut using the New Apothecary Accents Framelits and my Big Shot. I also used my Big Shot for the Oval Accent piece which was cut in half for the accent piece on the left of the journal.
Here is a cute little treat packet that I made using a new die that's coming your way in the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up catalog next month.
This is the Clear Oval Accent die and I used it here with Rich Razzleberry card stock. It's not a simple oval, mind you, but one with curves at either end. Love it!
I used a strip of the new Floral District Designer Paper down the middle of the Oval piece and then rolled it up and added some of the New Stitched Grosgrain ribbon in Daffodil Delight to hold it together. I added images from the New Papaya Collage stamp set and Fabulous Phrases, punched with the Wide Oval and Scallop Oval punches. I used the little flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack for the top f the treat.
What a great way to give a mini treat, don't you think?
I was delighted on Mother's Day to receive this fabulous card from my beautiful 16 year old daughter, Tessa.
She rummaged through my Stamp room to find everything she needed, a feat in itself lately since I'm moving soon and most of it is packed up!
She hand cut the 6 layered flower, no die or punches for her. She said she wanted it done her way, and what a wonderful way!
She found Designer Paper she liked, the Summer Smooches, located a Jumbo Brad and some pleated ribbon. And how she found the distressing tool is a mystery to me!
It just makes it even more special!

Here's another new set coming out in the New 2012-2013 Stampin' Up catalog next month. It's call Papaya Collage and I love it! There are 7 stamps in the set and here I've just just 3 of them.
The frame is stamped in the New Summer Starfruit and I colored the bird with the New Midnight Muse, using Pumpkin Pie for his beak and feet. The leaves are stamped in Soft Suede.
The Congratulations word is from the Perfect Punches set, punched out with the Modern Label punch. I added some Baker's Twine and Vintage Trinkets for accents.
I just love working wiht New colors whenever they come out!
Here I used the New In Colors Raspberry Ripple with Summer Starfruit.
I used two more images from the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set along with another new Designer Paper, Comfort Cafe. Do some punching, add some ribbon, and finish it off with Pearls for a great card.
The new 2012-2012 Stampin' Up! catalog is due to be released on June 1st but I just couldn't wait to share the new In Colors with you now!
I made this simple card using the New Betsy's Blossoms stamp set, the New In Colors ink and ribbon and a New Designer Paper called Floral District.
I used only 3 of the 5 New In Colors for this project.
The card base and little flower are done in Primrose Petals,
the bird is stamped in Midnight Muse,
and the Leaves and Ribbon are in the new Gumball Green.
The ribbon is fabulous! It's stitched satin and ties oh so easily.
There are so many stamp sets being retired next month, nearly 200! and there are just so many that I really, really like to use.
This one is called Grunge Rock and I like it because you don't have to be exact in your placement of the images and can kind of "wing it" and it still looks great.
I got together with friends on Monday to stamp and the theme of the day was using either Retired stamps or the 2011-2012 In Colors that are being Discontinued.
I decided to challenge myself and do both!
. . . . . and I found out that I used even more Discontinued accessories after seeing the list on Wednesday. So here you go!
I used the discontinuing In Colors in Poppy Parade,Concord Crush, Peach Parfait and Pear Pizzazz for the card stock, ink, paper and some accessories. The paper that I used for the background is from the Just Add Cake Designer paper pack. The In Color Glimmer Brad, Square Fire Rhinestone and the Peach Parfait Ribbon are also on the Discontinued list and are available only while supplies last.

Okay, so there are lots of you wondering just how Petite the Petite Purse is so I thought I'd find something familiar to judge it against for you.

I made the purse with Wisteria Wonder card stock and added Berry Blossom Designer paper to dress it up. For the closure, I added a cute Wisteria Heart brad from the Jelly Bean brad package that's available in the Occasions Mini.
I made this card for a class recently and am spending the day in my Stampin' Studio creating even more ideas that I'll be sharing in the next few days 'cause I'm having fun with this Summer Smooches paper and the Bright Blossoms stamp set, aren't you? It's just too cute!
Here I decided to ad texture by using In Color Polka Dot brads for my flower and more texture by adding the Pleated Ribbon and Twine too. Hope you like it!

The Petite Purse die is so darn easy to put together, just 2 quick pieces of Sticky Strip is all you need. Really!! That's it, just cut it out with your Big Shot, add a few pieces of tape and it's done. . . . well, except for the decorating anyway.
I used Wisteria Wonder card stock for the base of the purse and Berry Blossom Designer paper for fun.
For the flap I punched out flowers using the BoHo Blossom punch and added a Jelly Bean heart brad for the accent.
Add a quick strip of Berry Blossom to the bottom and a little piece of Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta to the handle and you're just about done.
Why almost done?
'Cause you've gotta do something cute to the handle, don't cha?
Here I've used one of the flowers from the BoHo punch and added Lucky Limeade In Color Polka Dot brads to attach it. Cute eh?
It's always interesting to come up with a "title" for my projects when I'm posting, but this one just made sense. Why? 'Cause I used Twitterpated Fabric* and Designer Paper* along with the Mixed Bunch stamp set*. Makes sense to me!
I stamped the flowers in Riding Hood Red and punched them out with, what else, the Blossom punch*. I added some Old Olive Polka Dot ribbon to act as my leaves and added the word Dream* on a Modern Label punch piece to which I added a Rhinestone which I colored with a pink sharpie.
To complete the card, I wrapped some Lucky Limeade Twine* around it and, by the way, I cut the fabric out using my Big Shot and the Lattice die.

I love to watercolor and when I saw this stamp set, Bordering on Romance, in the Occasions Mini I just knew it would perfectly suited for that technique.
I used Watercolor paper with my Watercolor Crayons and an Aquapainter and to get a soft look, I kept in the Soft Subltes color family.
I used Baja Breeze Textured and regular card stock, designer paper and pleated ribbon to set the tone of the card. To make gentle lines I used my Big Shot with the new Adorning Accents Edgelits and Impressions Embossing folder.
And you know, it just wouldn't be complete with a little pearl here and there. I even used the teeny pearls in on the paper in the corner, can you see them? Cute eh?
Here is another card I made using the Bright Blossoms stamp set from the Summer Smooches April promotion. The Designer paper is also from the promo and is aptly named, Summer Smooches as is the Fabric Brad, which I just love.
I added a bit of Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon and used my Scallop Trim Border punch along the bottom of one of the Summer Smooches papers.
The word "Enjoy" is from the Retiring "You're a Gem" stamp set.
I'll be sooo bummed to see that set go as it is truly one of my favs!
I'm lovin' the Framelits Labels dies and I'm sure you are too. They are oh so versatile once you get the hang of 'em. When I made this card I used my Big Shot 5 times and love the textures that it makes.
I used the Square Lattice Impression Embossing Folder for the background. Then I used some of the Deck the Halls fabric with Sticky Sheet and the Top Note die.
Then came the Framelit Label, two of them actually. I cut the first one out of Calypso Coral card stock and then ran it through my Big Shot again using the Designer Frames Textured Embossing Folder.
Next I stamped the smallest Apothecary Art image in Always Artichoke and placed another Framelit Label on it to cut it out.
To finish it off, I added a little color to the flowers, put on some little pearls and added a little Calypso ruffled ribbon.
I really like the cute little flower set, Bright Blossoms, that is part of the Summer Smooches promotion. It's got so many possibilities! I'll have more posted in the days to come to inspire you to have fun with your Bright Blossoms.
I made this card using Rose Red, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight. I know, I used Daffodil ink to make tulips, but hey, they look great don't they?

I used my 1 1/4" Square punch and Square Scallop punch for the tulips and added a Rose Red brad for extra pop.

This card was made using the Occasions Mini stamp set, Bordering on Romance. I used my Basic Gray ink and then added color using my Aquapainter and Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz ink. I also added 2 brads for the flower centers.
The strip of paper down the side is from the Twitterpated pack along with Riding Hood red Pleated ribbon and 2 cute Twitterpated buttons tied up with Linen thread.

Don't you just love the Mixed Bunches stamp set and coordinating punch? I do! It's so fun and easy to match up too. Here's a card I made using Elegant Eggplant ink which I mixed with Pool Party and Certainly Celery.
The Large Pearls I used for the centers are found in the Occasions Mini along with the stamps, punch and Seam Binding too!
I got into making cards with texture recently and wanted to use fabric whenever I could along with other items that would add even more texture. Here I used the Fun Flowers die and Springtime Vintage fabric with my Big Shot and used a Jelly Bean brad for the center.
The Baja Breeze Pleated ribbon added even more texture, along with the Scallop edge made with my border punch and I added words from my favorite set, Loving Thoughts.
Okay, so some of you know that I just love purses, and not neutral ones either! The brighter the better, so when I saw this Petite Purse die on the Summer Smooches promotion for this month, I just had to have it.
This purse is super simple to put together and quick too! I used Calypso Coral for the base and Summer Smooches Designer paper and a fabric brad for accents.
Hmmmm, I wonder if I can find one in "real life" that looks like this? Maybe, but it wouldn't be as stinkin' cute cause this one is only a couple of inches tall!
I just love embossing and when Stampin' Up came out with scented emboss powders in the Occasions Mini, I just had to get them!
The powders are available in Cherry, Vanilla and Melon and smell oh so sweet! and how fun for the person you mail it to to have the scent of cherries when they open the card!
How'd I make the cherries, you ask? Easy!
Punch out your circles, I used Cherry Cobbler card stock, natch!
Press the circles into your Versamark pad, pour the Cherry Scented powder on them, tap off the excess and heat 'em up with your heat tool.
For this card I used the Sweet Shop Designer Paper and Riding Hood Red Pleated Ribbon from the Occasions Mini. I also used several punches and a word from the hostess set called Tagtastic.
